Easy Almond Cream Scones

Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 2/3 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Teaspoons Almond extract

Almond glaze

  • 1 Cup Powdered sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla or almond extract
  • 3 Tablespoons Sliced almonds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°
    Add dry ingredients to a mixing bowl. Slowly add cream and extract while stirring together with a wooden spoon or on low with a mixer with a paddle attachment. Try not to over-mix so that the dough doesn't become dense!
    Dump dough onto a lightly floured counter and fold until everything comes together. Cut dough in half and form each half into a 5-6" disk.
    Slice 8 scones from each disk. Place triangles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden on top.
    Allow to cool before glazing. If you need your glaze to be a little thicker, just add a little extra powdered sugar until you get your desired consistency. Enjoy!
