Favorite Loaded Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 3.75-4 pounds Russet potatoes Boiled until tender
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1oz packet Hidden Valley Ranch dips
  • 3oz packet Bacon bits
  • 2 sticks salted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Heavy cream (optional but delish!)

Instructions
 

  • Wash, peel and boil potatoes until fork tender.
    In a very large bowl, add strained potatoes and butter, ranch powder, sour cream, salt and onion powder. Use a potato masher or mixer to whip potatoes until smooth.
    Fold in cheese and bacon bits. I like to add about 2 tablespoons heavy cream and fold in just to add a bit of moisture and creamy texture.
    Pour into a crockpot and keep on warm until ready to serve.
    Garnish with chives, cheese and bacon bits if desired.
