I am so excited to share this recipe for my favorite loaded mashed potatoes with you. This recipe was born from a little experimentation after craving a twice-baked potato one evening. I decided to make it all in one large bowl and add to a crockpot! This has become such a fun and delicious holiday side dish.
A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to cater a dinner for an office holiday party. In putting my heart and soul into the menu, I decided to share these loaded potatoes in a large crockpot as a side dish. This side dish is packed with bold flavor, so I felt a little nervous to share it with a big group! To my surprise the entire pot was cleaned dry by the end of the dinner!
I’m hopeful you’ll love this recipe and can make it for a side dish at your next holiday gathering! I would love to know if you make it, feel free to tag or message me on INSTAGRAM @handmade.farmhouse!
Tips for making favorite loaded mashed potatoes:
- These ingredients that are optional. Depending on your preference add a little less or a little more of each for preferred flavor!
- After mixing ingredients into the mashed potatoes, they will go from hot to cool. I like to add my potatoes to a crockpot on warm heat to keep them warm for serving!
- End up with leftovers? Add a little cream to them if they’re dry upon heating.
