I LOVE making yummy appetizers and dips for my family during football season. With the Super Bowl fast approaching, I wanted to share our favorite easy cream cheese sausage appetizer dip. This recipe is only 3 ingredients and whips up really quickly. Keep it warm in your crockpot and your friends and family will keep coming back for one more scoop!
How to make Easy Cream Cheese Sausage Appetizer Dip:
This is such a simple recipe. We love using regular Jimmy Dean sausage, but spicy is really delicious, too! Simply brown your meat, and pat the grease with a paper towel. Add the whole can of Rotel, and cut up the cream cheese into large cubes. Add those ingredients to your pan and let everything melt together.
I like to keep my dip in a small crockpot because it’s best served warm! We love to serve the dip with bread slices or corn chips! If you have a friend who is Gluten Free, you can make this for them and serve it with the corn chips. It’s so fun to have an option for them at gatherings!
After you brown your sausage, the other ingredients will melt right together. If you feel like your dip is too thick as it sits, just add in some milk to thin it out. That works so well!
Just look at that beautiful creamy deliciousness. Get ready to watch this disappear!
Easy Cream Cheese Sausage Appetizer Dip
Ingredients
- 2 8oz bricks Cream Cheese
- 1 10 oz can Rotel Diced tomatoes and green chilis
- 1 16 oz tube Jimmy Dean Sausage We like regular but spicy is delicious too!
Instructions
- Brown sausage and pat grease with paper towel. Add the whole can of Rotel (juices included) and add both blocks of cream cheese (I like to cut mine in cubes for quicker melting). Allow everything to melt together and transfer to a small crockpot to keep warm. If the dip gets too thick as it sits, thinning it out with milk works fabulously!Serve with bread slices or corn chips (we love both with this dip!)
Other appetizers we love to make:
I hope you love and enjoy this easy appetizer dip like we do! I’ll never forget the first time I tasted it at a friend’s football party many many years ago. I couldn’t stay out of it! She served it with lime corn chips which was a surprisingly delicious combo!
