Welcome Spring
It’s finally spring here at the farmhouse and we were more than ready for a refresh! After a long winter of cold, gray days, it was good for my soul to add a bit of pink and green here and there. Welcome to my “Touches of Spring” farmhouse home tour!
I’m excited to show you all the ways I like to decorate for the seasons by shopping my home or using inexpensive decor to add a seasonal touch.

Decorating with thrifted decor
I love collecting white dishes from thrift stores to display on my hutch. By adding sweaters and a straw hat, vintage books and stone bunnies, there is plenty of texture and visual interest to enjoy in this little space.

Here in my entryway, I simply added my bunny pillow covers for a hint of spring. I love my old antique crock and these textured baskets.
Using faux flowers vs real
Did you see THIS POST on how I style faux flowers to make them look real? I have loved using my faux tulips around the house to add a pop of color and spring vibe.

DIY centerpiece project
Did you catch THIS POST about the fun DIY box planter centerpiece I made? It has added such a bright cheery feel to my dining room! I’ve moved it several places and it seems to fit perfect everywhere! You can easily make your own centerpiece box for about $10. All the details are in that post.
Use closet items to save money
If you’re on a budget, one of my favorite tips for decor is to use closet items! I love using colored, textured sweaters or hats in my decorating for added interest.

In the kitchen I had fun frosting a few spring cupcakes for the kids to enjoy. These beautiful wood kitchen pieces are from the Polder’s Old World Kitchen collection. You can read all about their dreamware HERE.

Add botanical prints
I was thrilled to find these botanical prints from Antique Farmhouse. They are only $19 for a gorgeous canvas print ready to hang. I am always very drawn to images of plants.
Thank you for stopping by my Touches of Spring home tour! I hope you feel inspired to add affordable, intentional touches throughout your home for the seasons. With a little creativity, you can decorate without spending a lot and be able to enjoy your creations! Happy decorating!
