The Best Ever Christmas Jello Salad
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Orange juice
- 1 20 oz can Crushed pineapple
- 1 Cup Pineapple juice
- 1 6 oz box Raspberry jello
- 1 Teaspoon Orange zest
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 Can Whole Berry cranberry sauce I get Ocean Spray brand
- 2/3 Cup Chopped Walnuts
- 2 Large Apples Chopped *Use 3 apples if they are small* I use Opal, Honeycrisp or Pink Lady
Instructions
- Strain and reserve juice from crushed pineapple. Allow pineapple to continue to drain until all its juice has been separated. Combine water, orange juice, and pineapple juice in a medium saucepan. Add orange zest and spices. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and dissolve raspberry gelatin. Add cranberry sauce and stir until dissolved. Allow this mixture to chill in the fridge for 2 hours until soft set. While gelatin is in "soft serve" form (slightly set but not yet to full jello form), add chopped walnuts, crushed pineapple and apple chunks, stir to combine. Allow to chill until firm, about another 2 hours. I love to make this salad a day head to ensure it has plenty of time to set. You can totally make it the day of, just give yourself plenty of time.
I cannot wait for you to make this salad mostly because you are going to LOVE how your home smells instantly like Christmas! This combination of ingredients and spices is such a beautiful and homey way to welcome the season into your kitchen. You will find your family gathering to the table hoping for a taste of this delicious salad, it’s the best feeling!

When choosing the apples to use in this salad, I love to stick with something tart. I always try to use honey crisp, Pink lady or Opal, all are delicious! Chop the apples in small chinks so they can evenly distribute in the salad. If your apples are small, use 3 instead of 2.
You can make this salad the morning of, or the day before. Just give yourself plenty of time to allow it to fully chill. It is a wonderful dish to serve as a side at your holiday table this season.
