Making home a cozy gathering place
Like so many of you, the Autumn season is a favorite because after a summer of being outside in the garden, we start to gather inside, seek rest, and adopt the wonderful cozy patterns of hygge into our days. Everything becomes a bit more intentional and we get to enjoy the literal fruits of our labor!
Have you ever made your own apple cider at home? You will truly be thrilled to see how easy and rewarding it is. This warm drink also pairs deliciously with so many other favorite fall recipes (ahem, these delightful pumpkin muffin cookies or this pumpkin spice sheet cake).

Another benefit to making this yummy recipe in the crockpot? Your whole home will smell amazing! The spices and crisp apple create the most inviting scents… I always get so many compliments and asks for this recipe when I make it. This is a great treat to take with you to any Fall or Winter gathering, bridal or baby shower or holiday party.

Ingredient list for The Best Easy Spiced Apple Cider
- Brown Sugar I love using brown sugar in this recipe because brown sugar contains molasses and that ingredient gives the cider the most deliciously rich flavor!
- Tree Top Honeycrisp juice This is my go-to for the base of this drink because it has the most incredible tart, unfiltered apple flavor. This specific juice really makes this cider special!
- Salt I always add 1/8 teaspoon salt to the cider to help balance out the sweetness. It really makes all the difference.
- Ground Cloves This spice goes a long way so I only add a small amount, but the flavor really stands out in this recipe!
- Ground Cinnamon Apples and cinnamon are a match made in Heaven and cinnamon really adds depth of flavor to the cider. It also makes this recipe scream FALL which I love so much.
- Water The addition of water in the cider helps balance how strong it becomes, especially after warming for several hours in the crockpot. The flavors will all marry together to make an amazing drink.
- Vanilla extract Vanilla adds such a cozy, welcoming and comforting note in this drink. You might be surprised to see this ingredient on the list, but I feel it balances and compliments all the flavors.
- Apples, cloves and cinnamon sticks for garnish A beautiful garnish can make all the difference in presentation!

How to make the best easy spiced apple cider

- Mix and allow the cider to warm and get an even better flavor throughout the day!
- Garnish with fruit slices or cinnamon sticks.
