Throwing together a simple Fourth of July tablescape is easy and doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive! It’s fun to create a festive and patriotic place for family and friends to gather. I can’t wait to show you the easy steps I took to put together this table and create a super simple Independence Day dessert to go with it!
Shop your home for your simple fourth of July tablescape:
For this tablescape I just shopped my home for items that would match this festive theme! These fun red striped napkins and bright red goblets, as well as a wood tote that worked well for my centerpiece. I simply placed my small milk glasses in the center to hold a variety of fresh blooms. Using my mini cupcake stands for a special treat on the plates always makes for a fun and unique look.

5-minute dessert idea:
Sometimes life gets busy and the thought of making a dessert from scratch just feels like too much. I’ve come up with a really beautiful and EASY 5-minute dessert that still ranks high in the presentation department! Check out this fun little recipe for a festive goodie to serve to your family and friends!
5-minute Fourth of July shortcake
Ingredients
- shortbread cakes
- Cool whip
- Seedless raspberry jam
- Fresh blueberries
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh mint
- Lemon extract or zest Optional
Instructions
- Add seedless jam to a bowl and stir. The jam will become runnier and be the perfect consistency for a sauce! Add a drop or two of lemon extract or a pinch of lemon zest (optional but adds yummy flavor!) It's obviously very sweet and concentrated so I just use a small amount on top!Top shortbread with a dollop of cool whip. Top with fresh fruit and a mint sprig. Now add the jam topping and serve chilled! This dessert is so quick and easy to prepare, yet its a showstopper in the presentation department!
