Grab your free Halloween printable to add a touch of spooky this October!
October is such a fun time of year and my kids make it even more magical when Halloween comes around. In years past I have gone above and beyond to make our home spooky for Halloween. This year, however, I am really sticking to a few basics and simple, spooky touches to give our home a sprinkle of the holiday. I created a free Halloween Printable décor piece to share with you for your home!
Spooky traditions
We have a little tradition at our house where each year our little friend “Mr. Boney” comes to visit. It is kind of an “elf on the shelf” situation but a little less pressure for me. Mr Boney likes to help do chores around the house and can be caught trying to feed the cat, ride in the car (seatbelt on, of course!), clean windows and eat all of the marshmallows out of the lucky charms cereal. The kids love coming downstairs in the mornings to find him in a new spot.

My kids get really excited when I make these severed Witch finger sugar cookies dipped in jam. Ha! Aren’t they hideous in the best way!? I love doing little things that make memories for my kids. (The recipe for these are on the picture post on my INSTAGRAM page HERE!)

For todays free printable I want to share with you, I decided to go with a simple raven. After purchasing my cute raven statues, I decided black birds would be my spooky theme this year. Stick up bats are always really fun, too, and a few other cozy textures to match Halloween like this thick chunky throw blanket and these beautiful black iron candlestick holders. For the kitchen I added a buffalo check rug and some black velvet throw pillows to the living room to bring in some dark touches.
