With Thanksgiving fast approaching, I wanted to jump on today and share some easy Thanksgiving tablescape ideas with you. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday because it’s focus is all about gratitude! I love the quote “gratitude helps us see what is there, instead of what isn’t”. This point is particularly important to me this year since we will have someone very special gone from our table.
Gratitude helps me reflect on all my blessings, even in loss. I see God’s hand in my life every hour of every day and how He is sending me daily miracles that help me walk through the heavy trial of losing my brother.
Here are a few easy ideas for Thanksgiving tables so if you’re hosting this year you won’t have to worry too much about how to decorate! I love to combine different textures at different heights for visual interest. I love using my wood or wicker chargers (linked below) to add warmth and texture to each setting. Incorporating the gorgeous colors of Autumn in my tables makes me so happy!
Incorporating seasonal and natural elements on your Thanksgiving table
- I love using a basket of hand picked apples on my tables
- Dried leaves or branches with seasonal colors adds a stunning natural element to your table
- Candle light makes everything so cozy! If you’re not comfortable adding real burning candles, try these!
- Look for plaid napkins with Autumn colors and keep the rest of the table neutral with whites and woods.
- Add in pumpkins, squash, gourds or anything else you can forage from your yard and garden!
- Make your own floral arrangement. I love mixing faux and real flowers to save money. Check out my Autumn pear and pumpkin arrangement here!
- Make a beautiful and festive loaf of bread for your table! You can score your bread like I did in this post.
