Over the last week I’ve had such a desire to add twinkle lights to my fall decorating. The warmth the light adds to my home totally lifts my spirits! Today I am sharing a fun and easy idea for cozy autumn candlelight kitchen décor, a simple centerpiece you can recreate for your home!
Supplies needed for Cozy Autumn Candlelight Kitchen Décor :
- Countertop Tray (I love this one and have used it in so many ways since I bought it!)
- A hurricane glass, basket or zinc bucket.
- A large serving bowl (I love this gorgeous bowl, its stunning on it’s own but great for serving or for displaying fruit!)
- Clipped branches or faux leaf stems
- Fall apples, baby boo pumpkins, gourds, or brown or red pears.
- A cozy candle or glowing mercury glass pumpkin
- Fairy twinkle lights to wrap around branches.

I remember nearly 12 years ago when my first baby was born in November. I was a new stay-at-home mama and my little guy had colic. The evenings were very hard, and over time, the disappearance of light at 5pm grew heavy on my heart and mind. I remember setting up my Christmas tree early that year. I didn’t even decorate it at first, but I would always have the lights on. It helped me transition from day to night without feeling that sadness and anxiousness that can sometimes come. It felt like someone was there with me.
This year, after the devastating loss of my brother, once again I am drawn to having cozy lights on in the evenings. It helps me to avoid feelings of worry and sadness. It is incredible how simple fairy lights, flickering candles or glowing lanterns can make you feel warm, comforted and content.
I hope this post gives you some fun ideas for how you can make your kitchen or home feel more cozy and inviting this season. My kids always love these little touches around our home too!

Love the lights, but when I read the info on the lights where they only have a 48 battery life, that’s not good. One would be replacing constantly even if only using for a few hours an evening.

I’m not sure if that was a bad review or where you read it, but I have had them since last Christmas and havent had to replace any batteries yet. I do turn them off at night. Hope that helps!

Wow, this looks beautiful. I had the same difficulty as you, and the candles helped me relax and forget about the unpleasant events of my life. So I know exactly how you feel, and I am very glad that someone shared this on their blog. I’ve adored candles since I read the guide on https://mycandleplanet.com/ website, but I have to say, this post has given me some fresh ideas on how to decorate my kitchen, and really Emily, you’re doing a great job. Just keep it up!
