Combine a variety of vibrant vegetables with a side of Hummus and carrot shaped cheeseballs for a beautiful and colorful springtime charcuterie board spread!
Have you ever made a charcuterie board? They can feel a bit intimidating to put together, but it truly is so simple. You will love how quickly this appetizer will come together to create a lovely and unique spread at your next gathering.
getting started with your charcuterie:
The very first step I took to prepping my charcuterie spread was to wash and cut all of the vegetables I purchased for the board. This is probably the most work of the whole process! Once you have everything washed and cut, place it all together on a cookie sheet. This will help you get a visual for where you want to place everything on your final board.
I personally think its fun to group colors together, and even to place complimentary colors together if you can. This really creates a visually pleasing spread. We eat with our eyes first after all!
What items to purchase at the store:
- There are no rules when it comes to a charcuterie board! Just have fun with it and purchase items you can use in dips, hummus or with a cheeseball.
- For this colorful springtime charcuterie board, I bought rainbow carrots, cabbage, peas, peppers, celery, radishes, English cucumbers (these have tender skin that you can leave on to eat!), broccoli, cauliflower, and cherry tomatoes.
- I love to serve these veggies with dip or Hummus. I also made my favorite cheeseball recipe into two carrot shapes to go alongside my charcuterie!
- Additional items you can add are festive and seasonal décor, like my little ceramic bunnies or plaid carrots. Both were found at Hobby Lobby.
Let’s get a closer look into these delicious carrot shaped cheeseballs! I am telling you, this recipe is a KEEPER! So many of you have tried it and loved it. Ill leave the recipe here for you. One recipe makes these two carrots which is perfect to add to your spring grazing board!
