In this post you’ll see our subtle and simple fall decor ideas with touches of mauve, chambray blue, cream, and chocolate brown. I hope you feel inspired and welcome!
This year I changed up my traditional Fall decor and color scheme. Instead I chose to decorate with something a bit more subtle and simple! Mauve faux stems, vintage floral pillows, a reclaimed wood Diya, textured pieces and cozy touches all come together to give our living room a hint of the upcoming season.

I’ve had a lot of fun adding little floral touches here and there. I made this simple arrangement with my new favorite eucalyptus stems! These are faux and come in a set of 3. I simply added a few mauve and plum florals from Hobby Lobby. Now this beautiful bouquet can be enjoyed all season!
These mauve stems are really what inspired my fall color scheme this year! I love the texture they add to our coffee table. I think they would be a beautiful addition to a kitchen counter, a desk, coffee or entry table! You could also use them to make a beautiful wreath. The color I ordered is called “skin color”.
Coffee table styling
I really enjoy adding a vase of seasonal florals to our coffee table. This year I also added some home decor books, the wood Diya, a vase that had texture and matched my mauve stems, and a candle and matches.
Other fun Fall coffee table styling ideas
- A checker and chess board (I bought and love this one!)
- Candle(s) in a glass vase
- Candle snuffer
- Stacks of vintage books
- A beautiful bowl with texture, color or something shiny (glass or metal)
- A bowl of small boo pumpkins
- A basket or bowl of pinecones and cinnamon sticks
- A book displayed open to pages that reflect the season (this is my favorite)
Reproduction Vintage Diya
Diyas represent the triumph of light over dark, good over evil. I absolutely fell in love with this reclaimed wood reproduction Diya from amazon! What beautiful symbolism, that makes a great conversation piece. I use it for matches and candles for my Fall decor.
A couple of weeks ago I found these stunning burgundy stems (set of 12!) on Amazon. I love how beautiful they look in our entry way and here on our console table. They also come in a pretty amber color.
The wreath on our mantel mirror is just a little neutral base I found at Hobby lobby with some old added stems I had in storage. This (favorite) striped ribbon is from last year’s Christmas tree, it was perfect to hang the wreath with!
Our little cozy corner of the living room houses my favorite lamp, thrifted basket with a knit sweater blanket and some beautiful seasonal books. I also scored this textured bowl and plan to fill it with white boo pumpkins.
I was so pleasantly surprised when I unpacked these stunning vintage floral throw pillows. They will be beautiful for any season but they add such a fun texture and subtle color scheme to our living room for fall. They look lovely paired with chambray/denim blue and chocolate brown.

Harvest baskets that we use in the garden bring warmth and coziness stacked on the dining hutch. This decor accident happened one day when we were simply moving them off the counter and out of the way. I loved how they looked here and decided to keep them for Fall decorations.
