My 9-year-old daughter is starting to love being in the kitchen with me. Lately she has enjoyed experimenting with easy and quick recipes, so today we want to share 5 easy healthy fruit smoothies with you!
These smoothies are versatile and you can totally add or change amounts if you like. We used healthy ingredients like Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey or agave nectar, and whole fruit for these smoothies. I hope you enjoy making them in your home!
1. Healthy Raspberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 Cups frozen raspberries
1/2 Cup water
1 Banana
1/2 Cup Milk (Sub in Almond milk if you’d like!)
1/3 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 Cup Ice
1/4 Cup Honey (Sub in Agave Nectar if you’d like!)
Blend all ingredients until desired consistency. Serve immediately.
2. Orange Julius
Did you ever get an orange or strawberry Julius from the mall? It feels like another lifetime! I used to love them so much because the smoothies were thin, more like a frozen juice. This recipe tastes just like the mall Julius smoothies, and you can make it in strawberry, too!
Ingredients:
6 Oz frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
1 Cup milk (Sub almond milk if you’d like!)
1/2 Cup water
1/3 Cup Granulated sugar (Sub Agave nectar if you want! I would not suggest honey as the flavor can be too strong and take over).
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 Cups Ice
Blend all ingredients on puree until smooth and frothy. Serve Immediately.
3. Pina Colada
Ingredients:
1 Cup fresh pineapple
1/2 Teaspoon coconut extract (Optional, but delicious!)
1 Cup Ice
1/2 Tablespoon Fresh lime juice
1/4 Cup Coconut Milk
1/2 Fresh banana
2 Tablespoons Sugar
Blend all ingredients until well mixed. Serve immediately.

1/4 cup orange juice
1/8-1/4 cup sugar (or you can use agave sweetener. Honey will take over in flavor).

5. Strawberry orange smoothie
Ingredients:
This smoothie can be made whole strawberry or strawberry-orange.
2 Cups frozen strawberries
1/4 cup sugar (can sub agave nectar, honey may take over in flavor).
1 Cup water
1 Cup milk (may sub in almond milk)
1/4 cup orange juice (optional. Can be held if you only want it to be a strawberry smoothie).
Blend all ingredients to desired consistency. Serve immediately.
What can I add to my smoothies to make them even healthier?
You can easily add spinach, flax seed, Chai or hemp to your smoothies for added nutrients like protein, fiber and omega 3’s.
